In the apostle Paul’s first letter to his younger associate, Timothy, he writes, “I am writing these things to you so that, if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth” (1 Tim. 3:14-15).
If a church wants to know how to be a church, it must pay careful attention to this letter, as well as to the rest of the Bible. Beginning April 15, 2018, we’ll start exploring this letter, as well as some related passages.
To prepare, you may want to watch a video on 1 Timothy produced by The Bible Project.
Sermon recordings will appear below in MP3 format as they are available. You can also subscribe to our podcast channel to listen to them. Simply search for “West Bridgewater Community Church” on your favorite podcast app, subscribe, and listen.
PDFs of the written sermons that Pastor Brian Watson prepares in advance will be posted, too. These aren’t transcripts (they will differ a bit from what Brian actually says), but they are filled with Scripture references, citations, and other useful information. They are presented here as a resource.
